Snack Policy |
We will have snack mid-morning. Please be sure to pack a healthy snack for your child to eat. Fruits and vegetables are recommended, however, oranges can be too messy. Try to avoid high sugar snacks. While these may provide your child with an instant boost there is the inevitable crash.
Snack time is meant to be just a small snack to help children make it to lunch time. I have had students bring in sandwiches. Those should be for lunch and crackers, pretzels, popcorn, veggies, or fruit slices for snack. Talk with your child about which part of their lunch should be snacked on.
Please do not send a drink for snack...there are too many spills. We will use the restroom and get a quick drink during snack time.
