Mrs. Bauer

Hi! My name is Shavonne Bauer and I teach a multiage class at The Academy at Minds in Motion in Springboro, OH. I grew up in Indianapolis (Go Hoosiers). I attended Chatard High School for my freshman and sophomore years and graduated from Warren Central in Indy. After that, I went to Indiana University for 2 years. I married my husband after my sophomore year and we lived in California for five years before moving to Springboro, OH in 1990. In 1998, I earned my bachelor's degree in elementary education from Wright State University. This is my ninth year of teaching.

I have been married to my husband for 22 years. We have two children. Meghan (19-1/2) will be a sophomore at Indiana University. Cameron (age 17 and driving) will be a junior at Bishop Fenwick High School. He participated in wrestling for Fenwick this past year. Again this year, he wanted to get a job. He wanted a change this year and applied to be a lifeguard at the pool we attend in the summer - Sycamore Trails Aquatic Center. This continues to be helpful for mom and dad since we now won't have to chauffer him about and he can pay for his own gas and fun money!

When I have time, I like to cross-stitch, read, work on the computer, and scrapbook. I finished another electronic scrapbook for this past year's class. The last five years, I have had a memories night when all of the parents and students were invited to come back to school to see the end product. Everyone received their own copy of the CD.
